Meet Dan Moffatt
Orange Park School of Music Instructor for Drums, Percussion, and Music Composition
With more than 30 years of experience as a performer, composer, arranger, and music director, Dan Moffatt brings a wealth of professional expertise to the Orange Park School of Music.
Originally from Long Island, New York, Dan studied rock, jazz, and performance at Berklee College of Music before earning a degree in Percussion and Music Composition from the University of Minnesota, where he studied under Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Dominic Argento.
Dan’s training includes study with renowned musicians Joe Hunt, Charlie Perry, Elliot Fine, and Marv Dahlgren. Throughout his career, he has toured internationally and collaborated with many of the music industry’s most respected artists, including Steve Vai, Tommy Byrnes (Billy Joel), Bill Champlin (Chicago), Dave Weckl, Bill Carrothers, Avishai Cohen, Brandon Fields, Carmen Grillo, Greg Adams, and many others.
As a recording artist and composer, Dan has released three albums of original music:
